Certificate of Analysis and Data Sheet

Source:

Catalog No.
ENZ-273

Background:

Malate Dehydrogenase is an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of (S)-malate and NAD+ to oxaloacetate and NADH.
Recombinant MDH is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Description:

The DNA encoding Malate(Malic) Dehydrogenase is cloned from cDNA library of chicken heart.

Physical Appearance:

Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.

Formulation:

Malate(Malic) Dehydrogenase lyophilized from a sterile solution at a concentration of 1 mg/ml with 0.5 mg/ml potassium phosphate.

Solubility:

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Malate Dehydrogenase in sterile 18MO-cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

Stability:

Lyophilized MDH although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18 C. Upon reconstitution Recombinant MDH should be stored at 4 C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18 C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Purity:

Greater than 95.0% as determined by:
(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.
(b) Anion-exchange FPLC.
(c) Analysis by reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stained gel.

Dimers and aggregates:

Less than 1% as determined by silver-stained SDS-PAGE gel analysis.

Unit definition:

One unit is defined as 1 μmol of NAD+ production per minute under the assay conditions (25蚓, pH 7.5).

Endotoxin:

Less than 0.1 ng/ug (IEU/ug) of Recombinant MDH .

Usage:

This material is offered by ProSpec-TechnoGene for research, laboratory or further evaluation purposes.
