Background:

S100 belongs to the family of calcium binding proteins such as calmodulin and troponin C. S100A is composed of an alpha and beta chain whereas S100B is composed of two beta chains. S100 protein is also expressed in the antigen presenting cells such as the Langerhans cells in skin and interdigitating reticulum cells in the paracortex of lymph nodes

Description :

Recombinant S100A4 shows a band at 12kDa on SDS-PAGE commassie blue stained gel. Recombinant S100A4 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Physical Appearance:

Sterile filtered liquid.

Formulation:

100ug/ml in 50mM Tris-Acetate, pH7.5, 1mM EDTA, 20% Glycerol without BSA and Sodium Azide.

Stability:

Store vial at -20C^o to -80C^o. When stored at the recommended temperature, recombinant S100A4 is stable for 12 months.
Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Purity:

Greater than 90.0% as determined by:
(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.
(b) Analysis by reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE coomassie blue gel.

Dimers and aggregates:

Less than 1% as determined by coomassie blue SDS-PAGE gel analysis.

Endotoxin:

Less than 0.1 ng/ug (IEU/ug) of Human S100A4.
