Recombinant Human PTEN

Certificate of Analysis and Data Sheet

Source:
E.coli

Catalog No.
PRO-305

Background:

Description :

PTEN, a tumor suppressor, has been implicated in a large number of human tumors and is conserved from humans to worms. Characterization of PTEN protein showed that it is a phosphatase that acts on proteins and on 3-phosphorylated phosphoinositides, and can therefore modulate signaltransduction pathways that involve lipid second messengers. Recent results indicate that at least part of its role is to regulate the activity of the serine/threonine kinase AKT/PKB, and thus influence cell survival signaling.

Physical Appearance:

Sterile Filtered clear solution.

Formulation:

purified human PTEN protein at 0.1mg/ml in 50mM Tris-Acetate, pH7.5, 1mM EDTA and 20% glycerol.

Stability:

Store vial at -200C to -800C. When stored at the recommended temperature, this protein is stable for 12 months.
Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Application And Suggested Dilution:

?ELISA
?Inhibition Assays
?Western Blotting

Characterization:

On SDS-PAGE commassie blue stained gel, the purified recombinant PTEN shows a band at 86kDa antibody reactive.

Usage:

This material is offered by ProSpec-TechnoGene for research, laboratory or further evaluation purposes.
