Certificate of Analysis and Data Sheet
Source:
SF9 insect cells.
Catalog No.
PKA-324
Description :
Recombinant Human PKC-teta produced in Sf9 is a glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing amino acids 2-706 and having a molecular mass of 86 KD.
PKC-t is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
This protein is the full-length form of the protein with an amino terminal poly His-tag.
Physical Appearance:
Sterile Filtered clear soultion.
Formulation:
Recombinant Human PKC-teta is supplied at a of 0.1mg/ml in 10mM Tris, pH 7.4, 0.1M NaCl, 20% glycerol,
1mM DTT, 0.1mM EDTA, 0.2mM PMSF and 0.03% Brij-35.
Unit Definition:
~ 1800 units/mg. One unit of PKCt activity transfers 1 nmole of phosphate to a PKC-t pseudosubstrate peptide per minute at 30
0C using. Recombinant human active PKC-teta also phosphorylates histone, MARCKS, moesin, RasGRP3, and PKC alpha and PKC epsilon pseudosubstrates. PKC-teta is a novel PKC and does not require calcium for activity. Activity may vary depending on the substrate and reaction conditions. The optimal concentration should be determined for each specific application. PKC-teta is involved in T-cell activation and T-cell receptor signaling
including T-cell mediated activation of NF-kB and AP-1.
