Catalog No.
PKA-313
Background :
The NF-kappaB inhibitor, IkappaB, has classically been characterized for its ability to sequester NF-kappaB transcription factors in the cytoplasm.
Description :
Recombinant Human I-kappa-Beta-alpha (amino acids 1-317) is produced in E. coli with an aminoterminal polyhistidine tag and purified via sequential chromatography.
Recombinant Human IκBα is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Physical Appearance:
Sterile Filtered clear soultion.
Formulation:
Recombinant IκBα is supplied as lyophilized freeze dry powder without additives.
Storage:
Store at 4蚓 if entire vial will be used within 1-2 weeks.
Store, frozen at -20蚓 for longer periods of time.
Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity:
Greater than 95% (SDS-PAGE).
Biological Activity:
Recombinant human IκBα (Inhibitor of Nuclear Factor (NF)-κB, α isoform) is phosphorylatable in vitro, using either recombinant active IKKα or IKKβ, or with immunoprecipitated IKK from stimulated cells. This phosphorylation can be monitored by ELISA directed to IκBα pS32 or by Western blotting using phosphorylation site specific antibodies directed to IκBα pS32 or pS36 in conjunction with chemiluminescence detection methods.
Please note: Kinase activity may vary depending on the substrate and reaction conditions.
