Catalog No.
PKA-309
Description :
Elk-1 is a transcription factor that is activated by mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs) and whose main function is the regulation of growth-related proteins in response to extracellular stimuli. Because of the importance of Elk-1 to the regulation of successful cell growth, accurate monitoring of Elk-1 in cells, tissues and animals is crucial for many biomedical research and drug development projects.
Description :
Recombinant Human ELK-1 produced in E.Coli is a non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 122 amino acids (307-428) and having a molecular mass of 60 kDa.
This protein is conjugated with N-terminal His-tag and C-terminal myc tag (EQKLISEEDL).
Recombinant Elk-1 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Physical Appearance:
Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Formulation:
Recombinant Human ELK-1 is supplied as lyophilized freeze dry powder without additives.
Biological Activity: :
Recombinant human Elk-1 is phosphorylatable in vitro, using either recombinant active ERK1/2, or with immunoprecipitated ERK1/2 from stimulated cells. This phosphorylation can be monitored by Western blot analysis using BioSource旧 phosphorylation site specific antibody directed to Elk-1 [pS383] in conjunction with chemiluminescence detection methods.
Please note: Kinase activity may vary depending on the substrate and reaction conditions.
Storage:
Store at 4蚓 if entire vial will be used within 1-2 weeks.
Store, frozen at -20蚓 for longer periods of time.
Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles
Purity:
Greater than 95% (SDS-PAGE).
Usage:
This material is offered by ProSpec-TechnoGene for research,
laboratory or further evaluation purposes.
