Description:
Recombinant Human CAIII, Carbonic anhydrase III having a Mw of 33.9kDa is one of a group of ten zinc metalloenzymes that catalyse the reversible hydration of CO2 to form HCO3-. CAIII is a cytoplasmic isoenzyme, but is released into the circulation following injury.
Recombinant human CAIII is expressed with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag.
Physical Appearance:
Sterile Filtered blue solution.
Formulation:
CAIII Supplied in 1x Laemmli Buffer: 25mM Tris-HCl pH6.8, 50mM DTT, 1% SDS,
0.1% Bromophenol Blue and 2.5% Glycerol.
Stability:
Human CAIII although stable at 14蚓 for 1 week, should be stored desiccated below -18蚓.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity:
Greater than 95.0% as determined by:
(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.
(b) Anion-exchange FPLC.
(c) Analysis by reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stained gel.
Dimers and aggregates:
Less than 1% as determined by silver-stained SDS-PAGE gel analysis.
Endotoxin:
Less than 0.1 ng/ug (IEU/ug) of CAIII.
content:
Protein quantitation was carried out by two independent methods:
(1) 1. UV spectroscopy at 280 nm.
(2) Analysis by RP-HPLC, using a standard solution of CAIII as a Reference Standard.
