Description:

The protein contains the C- terminus of gp46 and most of p21E of HTLV-I. This non-fusion contains immunodominant fragment ,amino acids (165-440).

Purification method:

Purified by proprietary chromatographic technique.

Purity:

Protein is >95% pure as determined by 10% PAGE (coomassie staining) and RP-HPLC.

Protein conc:

1 mg/ml containing 10 mM Na-PO4. pH 6.0, 0.1% SDS and 1 mM DTT.

Storage:

Protein is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon arrival, Store at -200C.

Stability :

Five years frozen. One month in solution at room temperature.

Sfecificity:

Immunoreactive with all sera of HTLV-I and HTLV-II infected individuals with antibody response to HTLV envelope.

Applications:

Use as an antigen in ELISA and Western Blots.
Excellent reagent for correct detection of HTLV infections, with minimal specificity problems.
