Description :

Recombinant HIV-1 p66 pol (reverse transcriptase) has a Molecular weight of 66,000 dalton, glycosylated with N-linked sugars and produced using baculovirus vectors in insect cells.

Physical Appearance:

Sterile Filtered clear solution.

Formulation:

Each ml of protein solution (100ug) contains 10mM Tris pH 8, 140mM sodium chloride and 400mM L-Arginine. .

Stability:

Recombinant HIV-Ip66 although stable at 40C for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -180C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Purity:

Greater than 90.0% as determined by:
(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.
(b) Anion-exchange FPLC.
(c) Analysis by reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stained gel.

Dimers and aggregates:

Less than 1% as determined by silver-stained SDS-PAGE gel analysis.

Biological activity:

Immunoreactive with sera from HIV-1 p66pol infected individuals. Western blots: 0.1-1.0 ug/strip.

Endotoxin:

Less than 0.1 ng/ug (IEU/ug) of HIV-1.
