Certificate of Analysis and Data Sheet
Catalog No.
HIV-101
Source
E.coli
Description:
This antigen is an E.coli-derived recombinant protein that composes all of the reported immunogenic determinants found in gp41 and a the C-terminus of gp120. The gene encoding this fusion protein was synthesized using codons optimized for E.coli expression and doesn急 represent a linear HIV-I envelope sequence. rHIV-I is a non-glycosylated, 233 aa polypeptide chain, having a molecular mass of 27275.88, pI=9.68.
Physical Appearance
:
Liquid.
Formulation & packaging:
The antigen is dissolved in 0.5X PBS and contains 0.05% SDS.
Purity:
Greater than 98.0% as determined by HPLC analysis:
Stability:
Reconstituted rHIV-I (in solution) is best stored refrigerated at 4蚓 under strile conditions and used within a month.
Biological Activity:
This antigen was thoroughly tested in various tests as well as ELISA using the standard BBI serum panels.
All antibody detection tests on this antigen were as sensitive or more than the standard Abott third generation tests.
Protein Determination:
Analysis by RP-HPLC, using a calibrated solution of rHIV-I as a Reference Standard.
Applications:
Antigen in ELISA and Western blots, excellent antigen for early detection of HIV seroconvertors with minimal specificity problems.
Usage:
This material is offered by ProSpec-TechnoGene for research,
laboratory or further evaluation purposes.
