Catalog No.
CMV-216
Background:
The cytomegalovirus (CMV) phosphoprotein (PP) is a component of the tegument.
It remains with the nucleocapsid fraction under conditions that remove most other tegument proteins from the virion,
suggesting a direct and perhaps tight interaction with the capsid.
Description :
The protein contains the CMV-pp150 immunodominant regions, amino acids:(1011-1048).
CMV-pp150 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Purification method:
Purified by proprietary chromatographic technique.
Purity:
Recombinant CMV-pp150 is >95% pure as determined by 10% PAGE (coomassie staining) and RP-HPLC.
Formulation:
1mg/ml in 25 mM Tris-Hcl pH 8.0, 1 mM EDTA and 50% glycerol.
Storage:
Recombinant CMV-pp150 is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon arrival, Store at -20C.
Stability:
Recombinant CMV-pp150 is stable 5 years frozen, One month in solution at room temperature.
Specificity:
Immunoreactive with sera of CMV-infected individuals
Application:
Recombinant CMV-pp150 Antigen may be used in ELISA and Western blots, excellent for detection of CMV with minimal specificity problems.
