Recombinant Cytomegalo Virus Mosaic

Certificate of Analysis and Data Sheet

Source:
E.Coli

Catalog No.
CMV-217

Background:

The glycoprotein B (gB) region of the human cytomegalovirus (H-CMV) is a major envelope glycoprotein that is a principal target of neutralizing antibodies and is known to stimulate the immune response of cytotoxic T lymphocytes. Human CMV is currently classified into four genotypes on the basis of the nucleotide sequence of the gB region.

Description :

E.coli derived recombinant. The artificial mosaic protein contains the CMV gB immunodominant regions, amino acids: (60-81) of gB protein repeated three times.

Purification method:

Purified by proprietary chromatographic technique.

Purity:

Protein is >95% pure as determined by 10% PAGE (coomassie staining).

Protein Conc.:

1mg/ml in 25mM Tris-Hcl pH 8.0, 1mM EDTA and 50% glycerol.

Storage:

Protein is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon arrival, Store at -200C.

Stability:

Five years frozen. One month in solution at room temperature.

Specificity:

Immunoreactive with sera of CMV-infected individuals.

Application:

Antigen in ELISA and Western blots, excellent antigen for detection of CMV with minimal specificity problems.

Usage:

This material is offered by ProSpec-Tany TechnoGene for research laboratory or further manufacturing purposes.
