Description :

Recombinant Human Carcinoembryonic Antigen is glycosylated with N-linked sugars and produced using baculovirus vectors in insect cells. Recombinant CEA is a well known tumor marker corresponding to the full length human CEA which is approximately 120,000 dalton.

Physical Appearance:

Sterile Filtered colourless solution.

Formulation:

The sterile protein solution (0.3mg/ml) contains 10mM NaH2PO4, pH 7 and 150mM NaCl.

Stability:

Lyophilized CEA, although stable at room temperature 4⁰C for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18⁰C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Purity:

Greater than 90.0% as determined by:
(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.
(b) Anion-exchange FPLC.
(c) Analysis by reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stained gel.

Dimers and aggregates:

Less than 1% as determined by silver-stained SDS-PAGE gel analysis.

Endotoxin:

Less than 0.1 ng/ug (IEU/ug) of Human CEA.
