Polyclonal Rabbit Anti SARS Spike Protein

Certificate of Analysis and Data Sheet

Source:
Rabbit

Catalog No.
ANT-157

Background:

The spike (S) glycoprotein of coronaviruses mediates viral entry into host cells.Spike (S)-glycoprotein of the virus interacts with a cellular receptor and mediates membrane fusion to allow viral entry into susceptible target cells. It is a type 1 viral fusion protein that characteristically contains two heptad repeat regions, denoted HR-N and HR-C, that form coiled-coil structures within the ectodomain of the protein. Previous studies have shown that the two heptad repeat regions can undergo a conformational change from their native state to a 6-helix bundle (trimer of dimers), which mediates fusion of viral and host cell membranes.

Description:

Full-length Spike protein transfected into UM92 cells was used as a positive control and an approximate 139KDa band is detected.

Antigen:

The antibody was developed by immunizing rabbits with synthetic peptides corresponding to amino acids 1124-1140 of the putative SARS Spike glycoprotein (Genbank accession no. NP_828851).

Isotype:

Rabbit IgG

Formulation:

0.5ug/痞 PBS containing 0.2% gelatin and 0.05% sodium azide.

Storage:

Store at 4C, stable for 6 months. For long-term storage, store at -20C

Applications

Western blot SARS detection.

Usage:

This material is offered by ProSpec-TechnoGene for research, laboratory or further evaluation purposes.
